2-Way Data communication

Parelec’s synchronous data air protocol utilized by the smart agent tags was designed to demonstrate top RF performances.

It is implemented over the 433 (EU/NA) / 915 (NA) MHz free-license ISM band, avoiding the interruptions-intense 802.11 “Wi-Fi” band.

A de-facto standard in real-time location and identification technologies these bands allows Parelec to introduce a highly efficient data-transfer air-protocol, precluding conflicts with existing wireless LAN applications or simply avoiding collusions, originating from Wi-Fi networks, possibly installed not by the implementing company itself, but by one of its neighboring facilities (As radio waves do not recognize property limits a wireless infrastructure installed by neighboring companies or even local authorities feel the air with traffic).

The iLocate™ air-to-air protocol is a fully synchronous two-way data transfer protocol.
It implements advanced anti-collision algorithms to support large numbers of tags and is optimized for battery saving. The protocol’s data transmission rate is currently 19.2 Kbps.

Using two-way air protocol methodology enables customers to dramatically increase the benefits associated with a real time location system. The added features are virtually endless – Remotely updating or programming the tag’s software, initiating commands from the central system to the tags and extending the range-reach of the system are only some of the new features, previously not available in RTLS solutions.

As we believe that flexibility in implementation is the name of the game, the iLocate™ air protocol may be adopted to fit with possible different requirements of data structure. Though much more advanced than the commonly available air protocols in the market today, the iLocate™ protocol were fitted to support key developing standards. By a customer’s request, periodic transmissions are made available, under a number of active RFID standards.

Together, the Smart Agent tags and the unique iLocate™ communication methodology sets tomorrow’s standard for active real-time location systems that delivers efficiency, effectiveness and knowledge to supply chain management.
